Landons 1st Christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone!! Well, I had Landon on Monday, and gave him one of his presents. It was a baby cell phone that says "Hello" and "Goodbye" and rings. They make such cute toys for babies. He's 5 months old now, so he's starting to play with them. He really is such a good baby. Happy most of the time.
I doubt if I'll see him for Christmas, so this is probably it for the Christmas pics of Landon. But...if you want more, I can e-mail the other 55 I took. LOL.
I pray that you have a Merry Christmas and a BLESSED new year!

Today is a good day! God is so good to me. It's so awesome when you experience your prayers being answered. I had Landon yesterday for a few hours and even took him to O'Charlies with us. He was a perfect baby! Just sat in his seat, looking around, and smiling at everyone. He's such a sweet baby.
I also got to see Shayla this week. Breea brought her over to spend some time with us. We love and miss Breea and Shayla, and we pray that they will always be a part of our lives.

Answered Prayers

Thank you God.My prayers were answered. Sophie called last night to ask me if I wanted to watch Landon today, and said she'd drop him off at my house. Of course I wanted to...I haven't seen him in 5 weeks.
So, I got to play with him for 11 hours! My mom and Matt got to see him too, so it was good for all of us. Not sure when I'll have him again, but I'll take that one day at a time. He really does look like Luis when he was a baby. It's just crazy how much!

Well, I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! We had a lot of fun with our family, and so much good food. Matt, Breea, and Shayla were here. Damons mom and dad,Aunt Sherry, Uncle Don, and cousins came too. Of course my turkey had a mind of its own. It took over an hour longer to cook than it was supposed to, but it tasted fine after it was done. Gave us more time to visit anyway. (Ok, truth is...I was a nervous wreck!) I hate to be late for anything. I got through it though.
This is Sunday morning as I'm writing this, and the snow is falling. I was surprised to see a little snow on the ground when I woke up. Not enough though. I love to see the ground covered with it. Hopefully we'll have a white Christmas, at least.

Well, Jessie was the first one to shoot a deer at our country place. We have a cabin on 47 acres outside of Piedmont.
During the youth hunt a week ago, she was hunting with her grandpa Frank, and shot her first deer. I'm not big on hunting myself, but they enjoy it and I guess we'll get some meat from it.(Not that I'll eat it.)lol
Anyway, It's a major accomplishment for Jessie, and her dad was very proud of her.
Congratulations Jessie!

Look at Shayla go! She's getting so big and about to take off! She's such a happy baby!

Another chin!

I was finally able to see Landon yesterday. It had been 10 long days and I'd swear he's 2 inches longer and 2 pounds heavier now. He's still as beautiful and sweet as ever.
I was really afraid that he wouldn't remember me but thank God that he does.
He was drinking his bottle when I got there but when I took him and started talking to him,he smiled and started trying to carry on a long conversation. He went on and on. It was so cute, but bittersweet. I hate being away from him for that long.
I always heard that the love for your grandchildren is different than the love you feel for your own children and couldn't believe it...until now.
Maybe it's because we miss out on the long nights without sleep or because we wont really have to be the one to discipline him or her... too much. It's just all quality time. I'm not sure why it is...it just is.

Shayla's teething

Shayla came over today. She was running a fever because she has 3 teeth coming in, but she was still smiling. It's so funny to hear her trying to talk with her binky in. Sounds like Boo from Monsters INC. She's a little doll. Matt is a great dad! He always takes the time to play with her and every time he says "Daddy loves you", she smiles so big!

Arnold Parade

The Arnold Parade was a lot of fun and lots of work for everyone. I was surprised at how fast the pace was. We were trying to hand out flyers and candy and then had to run to catch up to our float.
I was really determined not to fall behind because the float behind us was Assist to Sell, so you know I didn't want to walk with them. LOL.

Trunk or Treat

We had a great time last night at our church's Trunk or Treat! Over 180 kids showed up and that's awesome! Matt, Breea, and Shayla were there with us for the 3 hours too. We did the cake walk and Breea won. They took Shayle around to all the trunks to get lots of candy for her. (Ok, who are we kidding...she doesnt even have teeth yet.) She does have 2 coming in though.
Anyway, it was a fun time and great community event. Today we have a float in the Arnold Fall Festival. Damon and I helped to decorate it yesterday. I think it turned out pretty good
. I'll post pics later. Have a blessed day!

Visit with Aunt Joyce

We had a nice visit with Aunt Joyce today. We had lunch at The Pasta House then spent some time at her house, until Landon started getting tired. Then back to Grandma's for a nap. We're having a Trunk or Treat event at Grace Church in Arnold Saturday night, if anyone would like to bring their kids by. It shoud be really fun. Have a great weekend!

Prayer request

Please say a prayer for my dad. 2 weeks ago he lost his wife and yesterday his best friend died. He really feels as if his world is turning upside down. He has been going to church, so that has helped him a lot, but he could still use some prayers to help him through it all.
Thanks in advance.
